    A lovely woman and tremendous voice. Please note that Ms. Wilson is part of a Delta Blues Heritage week sponsored by Brooklyn-based 651 Arts (651arts.org for the full line-up). Quite a festival!

    "Sometimes I say really stupid things."

    Like your comment about the saxophone. You can "bend" the notes in any way you want. And many amateurs do, unintentionally.

    If a piano is in tune, then you might say plunking its keys would be in tune. (But there is still that ephemeral, important aspect, encompassing all sorts of aspects of playing, musicality.)

    This is not the case with any wind instrument, the playing of which is far closer to singing than most appreciate.

    Back in the 20s, when the sax was the most popular instrument in the country, it was said, "the saxophone is the easiest instrument to play badly."

    Anyway, just to clarify. No need to "dwell on it."
