OH NO!!! Leonard -- please tell Mr Hackman that he can't retire! -- he's one of my favorite actors!!
Has Leonard yet asked how they each contribute differently to the effort(s)?
... and the dynamic/mechanism of their collaberation? i.e., Rogers wrote the music first when he collaberated w/ Hart, but Hammerstein wrote the lyrics first when Rogers worked with him...
... finally, how do they keep the contemporary "voice" (sensibility) out of a historical novel? (That violation always drives me crazy.)
I am kicking myself for missing the live broadcast of this segment. Gene Hackman is a giant! The Conversation; Enemy of the State; Unforgiven. I send him my applause and appreciation for his great body of work.
