Re: Gunpowder
I've heard the Chinese first use of gunpowder was to frighten enemies' horses. True?
China has more smokers than the US has people. Its tobacco-growing provinces make North Carolina look like a small town.
The industry contributes China's largest tax income, and it pumps out a huge amount of arrant misinformation about smoking.
The coming health bill will be astounding.
This Lancet article talks about some of these issues:

Quote from the article:
As a 12-year-old tennis player mulled over his loss at the All-China National Junior championships in Hebei, one of the umpires wandered over to give him a little friendly advice. "You need to take up smoking. It will make you strong", he said flexing his biceps. "I always smoke before a match, it makes me play much better."

Another great show, and following an already great show with Moyers. Thanks.
