Yasmina Reza is France’s most celebrated playwright. In 2006, she followed around Nicolas Sarkozy for a year as he campaigned for the French presidency; she writes about the experience in her new book, Dawn Dusk or Night: A Year with Nicolas Sarkozy.

Why is Sarkozy so insecure about his height? He marries these women who are taller than him and then makes them wear flats and he then wears shoes with lifts. (UK press made a fun of him for it) If you are that insecure about your height, why marry someone taller than you to begin with?
The term is 7 years, unless they've changed it recently
The French presidential term was a few years back from 7 to 5 years. I believe Sarkozy is the first president elected after the change.
