Santa Monica has ton's of homeless now, unfortunately I'm near there for longer than I like. SM, SF and a lot of CA are overly PC and lenient towards vagrants, loiterers and other transients. There's a great Southpark episode about SM's homeless issues.
I've seen the tent city downtown and it is pretty bizarre, very unlike nyc. This seems like an interesting segment and project within it's limitations, looking forward to checking it out. And LA does get cold at night, your blood thins out and 40s and 50s are common nightime temps now.
the trailer for this looks good. checking kim's for it on the way home.
