Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai has made his first-ever English-language film, "My Blueberry Nights"; musician Norah Jones has tried her hand at acting as co-star in the film. Wong describes "My Blueberry Nights" as "a story of a woman who takes the long route instead of the short one to meet up with the man she loves."

We look at Arizona -- John McCain's homestate -- and find out how illegal immigration shapes the political debate in this border state. Also: why public spending has become a major state-wide issue. Robert Robb is an editorial columnist for The Arizona Republic.

We look into whether Spain is becoming an increasingly divided country. Debates over Basque terrorism and the 3/11/04 Madrid train bombings may be helping to open old wounds from the Spanish Civil War and Franco. Giles Tremlett is the Madrid correspondent for the Guardian; his most recent book is Ghosts of Spain: Travels Through Spain and Its Silent Past.
