S. Epatha Merkerson stars as a faded beauty queen trapped in a lonely marriage in the new Manhattan Theatre Club production of William Inge's "Come Back, Little Sheba." It's at the Biltmore Theatre at 261 West 47th Street (between Broadway & 8th Ave.) through March 16th.

Nazi Counterfeiters in WWII

The new film "The Counterfeiters" tells the strange but true story of a Nazi counterfeiting scheme during WWII. Stefan Ruzowitzky is the director; Karl Markowitz is one of its stars. It opens today at the Angelika (18 W. Houston St) and Lincoln Plaza Cinemas.

Please Explain: Ants

We look into the fascinating lives of ants. For example: some ant species can form floating rafts in order to survive floods. Another species, weaver ants, build nests in trees by sewing leaves together.

Brian L. Fisher is the Chairman of Entomology at the California Academy of Sciences and creator of antweb.org. He specializes in the large-scale discovery, description, and naming of African and Malagasy ants. Dr. John T. Longino of Evergreen State College specializes in neotropical myrmecology.
