American bought culture too. In the 1880s they went crazy. They bought all the art in the castles in France and England, because those Lords were out of cash. We had all kinds of money here and no heritage. That is why we have all of these museums here now. Duveen was their great broker. Around those days we didn't even have copyright laws here. You could copy an British book without any repercussions. We were even stealing culture!
Where do the French rank in this?
Despite its domestic problems, Colombia is one of the happiest nations on earth. How's that?
According to the 2007 World Happiness Index, 9 out of the TOP 10 happiest countries are in LATIN AMERICA and the Caribbean.
How come the AUTHOR Eric Weiner and LEONARD LOPATE DID NOT even acknowledge that or comment on that????
The focus was mostly on Bhutan (13th place) or European nation (Switzerland, etc).
