A deep exploration of the issues Ungar is discussing - the roots of the America as "New Jerusalem:
"The Office of Special Plans"... honestly, could they have come up with something that sounds more cloak and dagger than that? You can't make this stuff up!
could the guest discuss how "the vulcans" fit into the story? (and perhaps distiguish between vulcans and neocons?)
neo-conservatism as a strain of conservativism? is that really right (sorry)?
would it be more accurate to say that is neo-conservatism is an authoritarian, anti-conservative doctrine packaged to appeal to conservatives (thus the name)?
Came in late - heard only half. But that half was fascinating. Please consider repeating next time you do repeats. I'm going to listen on-line this evening as soon as it's posted.
