Comedian Robert Klein has been a star on the stand-up comedy circuit for nearly 35 years, with a style of observational humor that has influenced Billy Crystal, Richard Lewis, and Jerry Seinfeld, among others. He discusses a new DVD collection featuring some of his best work for television, The HBO Specials: 1975-2005.

    does Mr. Klein remember hosting a taping of an oldies concert? there was a technical glitch right at the beginning and he was told to re-do the opening. someone in the audience yelled out one of Mr. Klein's shticks, which was the sound effect from a sci-fi horror film ("ooo-weeeeeee-oo-woo"). since almost no one had HBO or cable at the time outisde of Manhattan, I have no idea if it made the final cut.
