The Devil Came on Horseback
Former U.S. Marine captain Brian Steidle went to Darfur, Sudan as an African Union military observer, armed with only a pen, paper, and a camera to document what he saw. His experiences are recounted in his memoir The Devil Came on Horseback: Bearing Witness to the Genocide in Darfur, as well as the documentary film of the same name made with producers and directors Annie Sundberg and Ricki Stern.

What needs to be done is the powers that be in Darfur need to feel the power and might of the American military. First unleash the special forces on the Janjaweed and eliminate their threat so they stop killing people or face extinction. Then offer the president of Sudan and his administration a one time deal. Surrender to the international court and face charges of crimes against humanity or assassination.
Dear All,
I am hosting a program on Darfur for the Theosophical Society of Monmouth County and would like to have representation from this organization at the talk. Can someone let me know when and if you are available in September to participate?
Kind regards,
Beth
