The Israeli Government is correct in traeting its prisoners humanely. By educating them, there is the possibilty that when some of them are released they will be able to govern themselves (form an effective palestinian Government administration) effectively. Hopefully they will be able to learn that using violent means against the Israelis is only the path to use violence as a technique to rule themselves. I hope that the woman who smiled when told that she had killed 8 children will eventually repent. -If not, then she should never be released, as she is just as dangerous to her own people, as she is to the Israelis. // Is separating the Palestinian political factions a good idea, or does it only ensure that the factions will remain separate and hostile to each other? // A palestinian state is inevitable -democratic or otherwise. How do we ensure it will be viable, peaceful and well run?// 200 years ago Canada and the US were at war with each other, and later The US was at war with itself. Fenians later raided Canada. What lessons can we learn from the past that can be applied to the present?
