Underreported: The Trial of Charles Taylor
Former Liberian president Charles Taylor is being tried at the Hague on 11 counts of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and other serious violations of international law committed during Sierra Leone's conflict. On today's Underreported, we talk about the trial, and how Charles Taylor's legacy has fractured the lives of Liberians both in Liberia and here in the US. Jacob Massaquoi is human rights activist and survivor of Charles Taylor's atrocities. He's also a founder of African Refuge, an organization that links the Staten Island African community to social service providers.
