Underreported: Sudanese Refugees in Israel
Over the past couple of years, more than 200 Sudanese refugees have fled to Israel via Egypt to escape the ongoing violence in Sudan. Since Sudan is technically an enemy state to Israel, many of the refugees have been languishing in Israeli prisons while the government decides how to proceed. We ask about the uncertain legal status of the refugees, and find out what's happening to them in the meantime. Michael Kagan, an American lawyer based in Cairo, Egypt, is adjunct faculty at Tel Aviv University's Refugee Rights Clinic. He regularly consults on Sudanese and other refugee cases in Israel.

Its true that all the Sudanese refugees escaped from their own country due to the genocide , racial descriminatin , arbitrary arrests and harassment that was exercised by the Sudanese security forces .
Unfortuantely , the refugees escaped to Egypt where thy faced another genocide -Muhandseen park dated on 30.12.2005- besides they are facing the worst treatments from the authorities as well as the citizens .Indeed the authorities invest and used them badly .They have been living in Egypt as refugees for years dreaming of better tomorrow but its in vain .Here we have many cases of refugees who went crazy under these harsh circumstances . So , what is the solution ? sholud they keeping waiting and waiting with no medical services , shelter , education , schools , chances of jobs or even good treatment ?...They think , me too , the solution is Israel . Yeah , our Sudanese government is an enemy to Israel but who elected that government ? they are junta and criminals .The Sudanese citizens shloud think again why we hate Israel ? I don't see any reasons to hate Israel and am sure that the majority of the Sudanese citizens agree with me .
