I just heard Paul Mazursky talk about his inspiration for his film: a new category of "unmarried woman." When I got my US Citizenship, I was really taken aback to see that it said "Divorced." What is the need for this? How backward are these people that this needs to be on a citizenship certificate?
I got my citizenship just a couple of years ago and this still rankles.
