    At an Impasse?

    On today’s Underreported, we’ll get an update on the recent arraignment of Emmanuel “Toto” Constant--who led a violent military coup against Haiti's Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 1991. Then, we’ll look at what’s being done to save the leatherback turtle. And we’ll learn about the poaching of Chilean Sea Bass. Underreported: Emmanuel “Toto” Constant

Emmanuel “Toto” Constant led a violent military coup against Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 1991. In December 2004, he was sued by the Center for Constitutional Rights for crimes against humanity and torture in Haiti. Now he’s been accused of trying to defraud SunTrust Bank of more than $1 million. Jennifer Green, a senior litigation attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights, brings us up to date on his recent arraignment.
