I appreciate the article in the May 2007 issue of CONSUMER REPORT: Regarding and confirming the fact that "late charges" are imposed when employees of Credit Card companies do not process payments "on time." I realized this when I sent a payment to the next city, driving distance away mind you!, It was 7 days in advance of rhe payment date! The payment was not posted on time! When I telephoned cust. service, I was told that the Postal service was the blame! After that I sent it "certified mail," the payment posted in 2 days! I believe it is wrong, unfair, and outrageous practice to earn extra monies from customers!
