Symptoms of Withdrawal

Tuesday, October 18, 2005

Christopher Kennedy Lawford, the son of Rat Pack actor Peter Lawford and JFK’s sister Patricia Kennedy, knew Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe during his unusual childhood. He also lived through the assassination of his two uncles—John and Bobby Kennedy. Then, in the 1970s he developed an addiction to drugs and alcohol that nearly killed him. He looks back on his struggles with addiction, as well as with celebrity, in his new memoir: Symptoms of Withdrawal.
