Divided Minds

Wednesday, October 05, 2005

Identical twins Pamela Spiro Wagner and Carolyn Spiro grew up wrestling with sibling rivalry and enjoying their special bonds as sisters. But when they reached adolescence, Pamela began showing symptoms of schizophrenia. Today, she’s a successful poet, but still faces a lifelong battle with the disease. Carolyn, meanwhile, became a psychiatrist. They describe their different experiences growing up with each other in Divided Minds: Twin Sisters and Their Journey Through Schizophrenia.

Music: Soundtrack from Cinderella Man (Decca) Tracks 3 and 9
