Please Explain: Memory

Friday, September 23, 2005

On this week’s edition of our regular Please Explain feature, we’ll try to explain how memory works. We’ll look at the difference between short and long term memory, why we remember some things and not others, and why some people are better at remembering details that others. We’re joined by Jordan Grafman, Ph.D., of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and Dr. Barry Gordon, MD, Ph.D., the Director of the Division of Cognitive Neurology/Neuropsychology and The Memory Clinic at Johns Hopkins Medical Center.

Music: Soundtrack from Sontaine # 6, 1
