Shake Hands with the Devil

Canadian Lieutenant General Roméo Dallaire served as the head of the UN peacekeeping force during the Rwandan genocide. He has been very outspoken about the horrors he witnessed, and about how futile his struggles to get help from the world community proved. In April of 2004, on the 10th anniversary of the genocide, he made his first return trip to Rwanda. Director Peter Raymont and General Dallaire retrace that journey in a new documentary, "Shake Hands with the Devil."
