Dr. R. Douglas Fields of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland explores the science behind how our brains turn experiences into memories. It’s only in recent decades that we've learned how memories are created, and how our brains select which memories to keep, and which to discard. Dr. Fields discusses his recent article from Scientific American magazine: "Making Memories Stick.”
