Law professor Geoffrey R. Stone examines the ways in which war has affected free speech throughout America’s history, from the Sedition Act of 1798 to the war on terrorism, in Perilous Times. Then, Joseph Abboud unveils the struggles and successes of his career in Threads: My Life Behind the Seams in the High-Stakes World of Fashion. And Amos Oz recounts the struggles of growing up in Jerusalem in the 1940s and 1950s in his memoir, A Tale of Love and Darkness. Dr. Urvashi Rangan, Project Director for Consumer Reports' GreenerChoices.org and Consumers Union’s Senior Scientist for Policy Initiatives, and Dara O'Rourke, founder and CEO of GoodGuide.com, took a look at what eco-labels indicate, how standards are set, and what they mean for consumers and manufacturers around the world.
