Phyllis Galembo and David Skal

Phyllis Galembo’s book, Dressed For Thrills, is a photographic documentary of 100 years of Halloween costume history. And David Skal has written a study of the origins of Halloween; it’s called Death Makes a Holiday. They explain the cultural significance of October 31st.
