Tuesday, March 06, 2012
Actor and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik was on the Lopate Show to talk about her career - including her roles on "Blossom" and "The Big Bang Theory" - as well as how she found attachment parenting.
What have you read or seen lately (book, film, play etc . . .) that moved or surprised you?
I visited the FDNY Museum in NY and I’d forgotten there would be a 9/11 Memorial. It so caught me off guard and I had never really grieved in NY for what happened. It was powerful.
What are you listening to right now?
Yeshiva University Men’s a cappella group: “The Maccabeats.” They have a new CD coming out….so that!
What’s the last great book you read?
Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery - It’s like Salinger, Dostoevsky, and Sartre had a baby!
What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?
I’m a bleeding heart liberal.
What's your favorite comfort food?
Fried artichokes. Or anything fried, really.
