Guest Picks: Pam Anderson

Thursday, January 05, 2012

Cookbook author Pam Anderson was on the Lopate Show recently to talk about making meatless meals and getting more vegetarian dishes in your repertoire. She also told us about her love of Spanx!

What have you read or seen over the past year (book, play, film, etc…) that moved or surprised you?

I watch the BBC’s “Forsyte Saga” on vacation and into the fall—an oldie but a goodie. I also saw “Taking Shelter” not long ago, and it’s stuck with me.

What are you listening to right now?

French tapes! I want to be fluent before I die!

What’s the last great book you read?

Love Ann Patchett—just finished The Magician’s Assistant and State of Wonder.

What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

        Spanx!

What’s your favorite comfort food?

        Chili—both meaty and vegetarian versions.
