Wednesday, April 25, 2012
Producer, director, writer, and actor Garry Marshall stopped by to reminisce about his long career. He shared a few of his favorite things with us.
What have you read or seen over the past year (book, play, film, etc…) that moved or surprised you?
I just re-watched Barry Levinson's movie "Diner," which I loved. Also the play "War Horse" was great.
What are you listening to right now?
Scott Simon's Weekend Edition.
What’s the last great book you read?
I am reading Anna Karenina and 50 Shades of Grey both now. I'm trying to see why they are both hits. Also I recently read "Two Gentlemen of Verona" (by Shakespeare).
What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?
Opera and lacrosse.
What’s your favorite comfort food?
Frozen yogurt. And spaghetti with Campbell's soup on top.
