Wednesday, August 18, 2010
The wonderful Abbey Lincoln was not only an acclaimed actress (one of the first African-American women to star in a leading role, with Sidney Poitier, in the 1968 film For Love of Ivy), but a jazz singer who recorded over 20 albums. And while she recently died at the age of 80, you can hear her interview with Leonard Lopate from August 10, 1995.
