Just for the sake of conjecture..
If we do find some form of microbial life on Mars,
what are the chances that life could be an extension of the life on Earth?
We have found meteors on Earth from Mars, could there have been meteors from earth carrying "seeds" of life from say the K/T event.. or much a much earlier major asteroid collision?

I read recently that there are 700 different bacteria in human breastmilk with some variation in that number depending on certain circumstances.

Could we be feeding colostrum to people with bacterial deficets to colonize the growth of new bacteria in those guts?

If so many of the microbes we carry are beneficial, are we killing some of the good ones off along w/the bad ones when we use hand sanitizers? Or doesn't it matter as much for the ones on our skin, maybe because we keep picking up new ones from our environment?

I guess those diner mints were good, after all.

Maybe Mr Borowitz could ease up on the sarcasm. This is interesting stuff that Corey Powell is talking about. Andy should try to get deeper with him and offer more than flip comments.

Mr. Powell says the Higgs Boson lasts for a very short time and then breaks up. What does it break up into? What kind of particles make up The Particle?
