Alison Singh Gee tells the story of meeting and falling in love with Indian journalist who turned out to be a landed prince (of sorts), but his family palace is falling to pieces. Her memoir Where the Peacocks Sing: A Palace, a Prince, and the Search for Home, is about coming to terms with her complicated new family and learning the true meaning of home.

Yes, Leonard Lopate asks lots of GREAT questions...
WHAT A PHONY! Couldn't you hear her dancing around questions she didn't want to answer? And how she apparently regrets writing about her husband's family's treatment of servants? If you don't want to talk about your book, why come on the radio? I won't bother to read this, even at the library.
Ms gee they are all great questions! That’s what he does for a living!!
