Really, Bob Hennelly didn't hear "Obama gutted the work requirement" debunked till Clinton's speech? I heard it at least twice right here on WNYC! Well, I suppose I can understand if Bob's too busy to listen to every minute. After all, "Never turn it off" is just a slogan, & a humorous one at that.
The voice vote sounded fairly close to me but w/more nays than yeas. But I was shocked when it was announced as having passed by two thirds! Clearly it hadn't.
With whom should Israel divide its capital with? With Jordan? With the Ottoman Turks? With the Crusaders? And why should the tiny Jewish state be the only country that has to share its capital with someone else? Even Germany doesn't have a divided capital anymore.
As Bob Hennelly and Leonard Lopate just noted, the crowd at the DNC yesterday clearly _opposed_ the change in the platform language calling for a move of the US embassy to Jerusalem, half of which Israel occupies in violation of international law.
