Since the mid 1990s, 16 states and the District of Columbia have passed medical marijuana laws. In some states, like California, a vast growing and dispensary system has sprung up for a drug that the federal government still considers illegal. Journalist Jim Rendon went behind the scenes with many of the people who work in what is both an illicit and quasi-legal industry. His book is called Supercharged: How Outlaws Hippies and Scientists Reinvented Marijuana.

So much for the "progressive" President Obama and all the rest of the vast majority of "progressive" Democrats in office who believe that women only own their own bodies to have an abortion. (Which means, in reality, that women don't own their own bodies. Someone else tells them when they have permission to do what they want with their OWN bodies.)

Big Pharma doesn't want anyone growing pot. There's no money in it for them. And the DEA is government subsidized labor/alternate militia.
What will probably happen is THC will be available in synthetic pill form from your local pharmacy. The Feds are quietly closing down these pot shops in CA. CO is next.
