I need to watch secret battle show
Eisenhower caused major rifts within the party when he appointed Nixon foe Earl Warren to the supreme court. Warren would later lead the Judicial out of the shadows of the Executive and Legislative branches.
How did Eisenhower's "Progressive Republicanism" inform his view of the Presidency within the government's system of checks and balances?
