I couldn't understand why Pres. Obama didn't campaign more for Senate & Congressional candidates. Doesn't he want a Congress that's more likely to pass his policies?
John from Mount Vernon , you wrote: "The common people of this country trust Obama and like him." Are the following some of the things they trust and like about him:

[FULL DISCLOSURE: I am not a fan of Romney's either. I think both major political parties are horrible.]
Fern Smith, you wrote: "Latinos may spouse conservative values in their personal lives, but they don't wear them in their sleeves, nor do they vote obsessing about reproduction, gender, gay life."
Actually, it was the Roman Catholic Latinos and the Southern Baptist Blacks who voted for Obama in California in 2008 that voted FOR Proposition 8. That's what passed that anti-gay marriage bill.
If Clinton's explanation of Obamanomics was right, how was it revisionist?

Leonard,
Could you ask Mr. Cassidy whether he thinks that even the one vote gain by the Democrats in the Senate will have some significance in cloture votes?

All the experts and pollsters and political pundits have totally missed the boat with why Obama won so clearly last night. It is simple. Trust. The common people of this country trust Obama and like him, they see a sincerity in him personally that they don't see in Romney. It was not money or unemployment figures, abortion or any of the other issues. Obama made alot of campaign money from people like me with $4 at a time. He connects with the people. It was the youth and the minorities mostly who elected him last night. The 99% spoke.
http://www.commondreams.org/view/2012/11/07-0 Why are you saying there was NO MANDATE, that it was so close. According to this: For Obama, a Bigger Win Than for Kennedy, Nixon, Carter, Bush or Bush
Please stop quoting Donald Trump! Who cares what he thinks about anything? Why continue to give him legitimacy? It immediately cheapens the quality of discussion and wastes airtime that could better be allocated to someone with insight or information.
Can we please step back from the "fiscal cliff" terror story? One way or another they will settle it--the world will not come to an end, though harm will come to some. Harm always comes to the least among us, and the worse terror is that we aren't organized enough to prevent them from being abused and forgotten.
