Writer and musician Mike Doughty discusses his memoir, The Book of Drugs. In it, he describes his rise to prominence as the leader of the band Soul Coughing, his transformation into a solo performer, and his battle with addiction. He’ll also talk about his latest albums, "The Question Jar Show" and "Yes and Also Yes."

mike does sound great. so heartening to hear one who can discuss their failings with humility--and be able to live to tell about it!
Maybe I misunderstood the interaction in the "band". I thought Mike was the issue with the disolution. I could be wrong.
