Great interview, can't wait to read the book. My wife and I have seen Josh Ritter and the band in Toronto, Montclair NJ, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and on a farm in South Jersey. One of the best performers I have ever seen... might even try to see him at Governors Island in August if we can get our hands on some tickets.
I love your show and I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you but Least Heat Moon's first book "Blue Highways" referred to the blue line on the road atlas - he traveled by road - in his second book he traveled by water and I love your show.
Religion allows us to ask questions. It's just that after we study them - we find out that religion has the answer, as well as science and reason.
What an interesting, intelligent and engaging fellow.
