Actress Marie Riviere discusses working with Eric Rohmer in his films “Le Rayon Vert” (celebrating its 25th anniversary) and its long-overlooked companion piece, “Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle.” She’ll also talk about her brand new video portrait of Eric Rohmer, “In the Company of Eric Rohmer,” which she made shortly before his death. “Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle” is showing at BAM Cinematek July 20-26.

I have appreciated her courage. It wasn't easy for her. Thanks Marie.
She was difficult and wonderful in the film and
equally in the interview
i would have preferred to hear your guest express herself in french, as well. a la prochaine, j'espere.
That was painful.
It's really time to wrap this interview up. Having a translator would have been a very good idea. Or let her just speak French, some of your audience would understand, as opposed to now where we don't understand what she is trying saying.
And yes, I speak French.
was marie personally aware of how frustrating her character was in making "le rayon vert"? how did she connect with that?
sorry, I meant to write "trying to say".
It would have been nice if there was a translator present. This interview was extremely difficult to listen to.
good god, leonard--now YOU're treating "socialism" as a taboo? mon dieu!
