Rock and roll legend Chuck Leavell, longtime keyboardist and musical director for the Rolling Stones, performs live and discusses the band, currently in negotiations for a world tour next year—2012 is the band’s 50th anniversary. He’s currently working on an album in tribute to the pioneering blues piano players that have inspired him--it's titled "Back to the Woods," and it's scheduled to be released in the fall. He’s the founder of the for-profit environmental website Mother Nature Network (www.mnn.com), and he’s also written a book, Growing a Better America: Smart, Strong, and Sustainable, about his environmental activism.

I wonder if Chuck is aware of how much more exposure the Stones have received as a consequence of reaching potentially new fans via YouTube.
Judging by many of the comments seen, and the astounding number of hits for some of their now ~ 15 yr old live performances, they've established a whole new generation of fans.

Grew up listening to the Allman Brothers (as well lots of other styles of music). Always great music and it still is. Thanks for the live playing.

In "Cheaper by the Dozen", but the Mother and the Father were efficiency experts.
Off topic, but why don't the Stones, in their late age, go back to their blues roots?
I'm sure they have a wealth of material, their life experiences, that would better suit a blues production.
Less pressure to rock it out on stage.
"Jessica" by the Allman Brothers, remains my favorite rock 'n roll guitar riff of all times. I never tire of hearing it, and once learned to play most of it on my guitar taking years to learn it by ear. Even the all piano rendition sounds good. Thank you.
