Their motive is primarily to help children, secondarily to bring them up in their religious faith. For their faults, at least they're trying to help children.

If more people would choose adoption instead of abortion, obviously, there would be plenty of children for childless couples to adopt.

I often wondered how people of what most would consider modest means were able to achieve these very expensive international adoptions. But, now, I suppose I understand that if you've got an engine fueled by an evangelical zeal to help you raise the funds it's possible.

Worth noting that evangelical involvement in international adoption has made it much more difficult, and in many instances impossible, for gay or single prospective parents to adopt internationally.

I wonder why so many pronounce the word EVANGELICAL "ee-van-gelical," rather than "evan-gelical," as it's spelled?
