Griffin Dunne, son of the late Dominick Dunne, discusses his father’s life and last novel, Too Much Money. Dominick Dunne was an author, film producer, and special correspondent for Vanity Fair for 25 years, covering the lives and trials of celebrities.

Why do people allow someone like Dunne be around them?
Griffin,
I am a devoted fan of your father's writing,
-his novels, his celebrity stories for Vanity Fair, and his candid, and moving, personal experiences...when he passed, quite surprisingly for me, I felt like I lost a friend. He had an amazing talent for inviting
us into his world, his thoughts, his confidence. I will miss him, for you & your family, for the world - he was truly one of a kind. I like to believe he is with Dominique,
sharing some terrific party stories and making up for lost time.

Griffin, when your dad produced "Adventures in Paradise" with Gardner McKay, my then 13-year old sister wrote a fan letter to the show, to which your father replied. He and my sister began a brief correspondence in which he offered all kinds of wise fatherly advice like "stay in school." Those letters are lost but they became the stuff of family legend.
