Founded in 1970 with 50 folding chairs and one 16mm projector, Film Forum is now one of the city’s homes for independent films. Karen Cooper, director of Film Forum, talks about its 40th anniversary. MoMA is celebrating the anniversary with a documentary film series, "Karen Cooper Carte Blanche: 40 Years of Documentary Premieres at Film Forum," February 3-20.

Yes! I missed this show but thank goodness for pod casts. Film Forum is really the best. Last year I was blown away by the Tod Browning festival. I also saw "Mishima" and "In a lonely Place" last year.

The best films I've seen last year were at Film Forum. Great stuff Leonard.

One of the best reasons to live in New York, and I'm a member. But the coffee is disgusting. Please teach those friendly counter-people how to use the espresso machine.
