Ben Kingsley in "Ghandi" was a bad example as someone of a one ethnicity playing another.
"Ben Kingsley is an actor best known for his roles in films like Ghandi and Schindler’s List. He has stated his ethnicity during an interview with James Lipton on Inside The Actor’s Studio. His father, Rahimtulla Harji Bhanji was Indian and his mother, Annalyna Mary (née Goodman) was English and Russian-Jewish."
