Academy Award-winning director Jane Campion talks about her new movie "Bright Star," which tells the story of Romantic poet John Keats, who wrote the love poem "Bright Star" for his 18 year-old next door neighbor Fanny Brawne. "Bright Star" opens in New York September 16th at Lincoln Plaza and Union Square Cinemas.

Jane Campion's "Bright Star" is more like a "sonnet" than a film. She has successfully brought to the screen an unusual and beautifully poetic "sonnet" of the all too brief but abundantly productive life of John Keats.
Didn't he used to visit prostitutes with people like Brown and we are fairly sure that he contracted syphillis, for which, he dosed himself with mercury.
