Illuminating with questions that spring up about how or when, and the effect of food, alcohol and other fancy mind relaxing/altering items on earth. A friend of mine and self got ourselves a bottle of whisky and settled down to see the spectacle unfolding before us on 9/11. it took a while to forget the aroma wafting over the east river and joined others in the bar for a different kind of experience. My parents have no addiction and I used to wonder whether I would get it into my bones!
But, friends and relatives who understand/understood were a great help in cutting down on a social habit gone awry.
I found the best way to cut down is to set up a drink and to indulge in the hobby/profession that you are truly interested in. I usually forgot about the drink! soon.

In reading some of the pages in this book I was wondering about the impact of this part of Ms. Jones' life on her own parenting. There are some 'interesting' descriptions of occurences in front of her own daughter.
