i really love all of Alex Sherman books they are really great with feeling.
Besides being a great writer, Mr. Alexie will go down as one of Stephen Colbert's greatest guests! Ever see Colbert OUT-Colberted? Alexie left him speechless. NAILED him! Here's the clip: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/189691/october-28-2008/sherman-alexie (coincidence that it took place exactly a year ago!)
I think it is valuable to have fixed records. It forms an interesting time-line. Although, time is a man-made invention, without time signatures, there is no way to see growth. Also, sometimes, original concept are best because they are fresh. Constant revisions can make ideas tedious.
Ha, my neighbors had a disco-lights stereo, and I used to go over there to listen to records on it all the time! Ah, the 70s.
I love Sherman Alexie--he is a great writer and person.
