Madeleine Albright

Friday, November 27, 2009

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright tells how Saddam Hussein’s poet-in-residence inspired her to use her pins and brooches make diplomatic statements in her meetings with world leaders. Her book Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat’s Jewel Box is part memoir, part social history, and looks at Secretary Albright's experience with global politics.

An exhibition of Madeleine Albright's jewlery, "Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection," is on view through January 31, 2010, at the Museum of Arts and Design, 2 Columbus Circle.
