Thanks to the trio, and thanks to the leonard lopate show for making a delightful segment!
what i'm saying is, the music that has the most meaning for me is the stuff from the 60s, trane, dolphy, mingus, and etc, when it felt like artists were on quests for personal growth and understanding and when the music commented on social issues.
are there any social revolutionaries like mingus on the scene today?
