Notice how Ms. Lipman says that the Cuban who stole cigarettes "alledgedly stole". But does not give the US Marine that struck the Cuban man and knocked him off the boat the same degree of respect. I think her anti-american bias is transparent.

As a devoted listener of NPR and NPR programs, I was pleased to hear a not often heard human and historical perspective on Guatanamo. With so much in the news about the closing of the GTMO and the future of the detainees, its impact on Cubans is also worth discussion. Thanks to Ms. Lipman for her research and sharing this view.
