Sue Grafton talks about her twenty-first thriller about her sharp-tongued heroine Kinsey Millhone. U Is for Undertow, tells the story of Michael Sutton, a twenty-seven-year-old college dropout who asks for Kinsey’s help to uncover a kidnapping and murder of a child over 20 years earlier. But can she trust him or was he a boy who cried wolf?

I suppose I can understand Sue Grafton's reluctance to have her main character age in real time, but it might also have been interesting to see her deal w/the challenges of aging in her profession! Where might Kinsey Millhone be in 2009?
How has Ms. Grafton done financially over the years and, if she has become increasingly well-off, how has her lifestyle influenced her method of writing?
