A collect of Afghan art and jewelry that many had long considered destroyed is on view at the Metropolitan Museum. It’s called "Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum, Kabul" and we’ll speak with the exhibition’s organizer Fred Hiebert. It runs through September 20th.

These pieces are absolutely beautiful.
To me, art represents humanity at its best, and war at its worst. So no wonder the latter tried to destroy the former in Afghanistan, but also very sad.
To me, Afghanistan is THE most important place in history of the world.
I see Afghanistan as part of Persia in some era, as part of India in some times, Greek other times.. Does archeology reflect that?
